[email protected] or you can pm me at icoombs on fs-uk.com please state in the subject. update all field summary posted by: icoombs on: 12 th november 2012 you will now find a new link in the farmer menu, all field summary. this shows an at a glance list of all the fields on the farm with tick boxes showing the current process that have been done on the fields. this will help you find work to do easily by just scanning down the list to see what has already been done and then you can make decisions as to what needs doing next. the field name/number will also link you back to the main manage farm showing the field you clicked on so you can quickly assign jobs for that field, without having to load the manage farm page and then choosing the field you were just looking at. updates posted by: icoombs on: 7 th november 2012 since the release of 2013 i have been working on some tweaks to to accommodate the new features and processes. i have added topping for sugar beet and potatoes and also added foraging for harvested wheat and barley fields as you can now forage the straw windrows and sell it or dump it in the bga digesters. also with the purchasable fields when you setup a new farm you need to tell the database you have purchased the fields and a button allows you to see all the fields you have purchased. i have also been playing with a dynamic signature for forums where the signature image dynamically updates to show the latest activity on your farm based on the info you put into , the signature cycles through 4 variations giving a different page each time the signature is displayed, the pages show recent activity, job list highlights, workers employed on your farm and job adverts for when you are recruiting. the signature is currently under testing so is not generally available but if you are a regular user and would like to test it, please contact me. to back up the signature i have also made some changes on the public accessible page that people see when they click the signature image. this now shows the field activity history when they click on field on the map, also the job list and farm details. as usual if you have any comments or suggestions please contact me on one of the following. [email protected] or you can pm me at icoombs on fs-uk.com please state in the subject. old manage farm page update posted by: ian-c (icoombs) on: 31st january 2011 16:41 the new manage farm page is active and hopefully all the data migration has gone without a hitch but if you encounter any problems, please contact me. on the new page each rotation of a field is called a cycle and once you have marked off the final activity for the current field cycle your save changes button changes to a start new cycle button which resets the form so you can start using the field again. you will also notice hovering you mouse pointer over a field shows the current crop and all the steps that have been carried out in the current cycle. i am also working on adding a field history which will be displayed below the map image. the new system allows you to monitor the fields right through the cycle and you can see at a glance what work needs to be done. and as before you can assign jobs but this time you just need to click the job done button to update the field details. when you start a new cycle you will only be able to update activities like ploughed, manured, cultivated and seeded, once you seed and specify the crop then further options relevant to the crop will be shown. an example is rape seed (canola), you will only see a harvest option with this crop as there is no baleing etc. but with wheat and barley you get options for baled and bales collected. you will get more familiar with the system as you use it but if you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me using the methods listed below. any queries or questions please get in touch [email protected] or you can pm me icoombs on ls-uk.info please state in the subject new manage farm page posted by: ian-c (icoombs) on: 29th january 2011 11:50 i have been working on a new manage farm page that will show all activity in the field on a field cycle basis. a new cycle gives you a blank sheet with check boxes that allow you to mark which activities have been carried out in the field and a drop down for the crop, and once all activities have been completed you start a new cycle (blank sheet). each time you mark an activity, the date is recorded so you can see how many days (real days not game days) have passed since the activity was done allowing you to more effectively manage each activity carried out. as the new page uses a completely different data structure it's proving difficult to migrate existing data for existing farms, so at the moment i am trying to best work out how and when to make the switch over. hopefully this won't take too long as the new system gives a much better picture of each field through the cycle of activities, and there are modifications required to other pages which display farm maps. the current jobs section is now linked to the field details, so when you confirm a job as done it automatically updates the field details so you only need
